Your garden should be a reflection of you and your family and it should suit your lifestyle. When you stand in your yard or look out your window, does your garden make you feel exhilarated? Do you feel comforted? Proud? Happy? Conversely, the garden can make a person feel defeated, drained or embarrassed. That’s not what you want for yourself or your home. We specialise in garden design in Brisbane.
ING’s Garden Consultants can show you how to transform your garden and, along with it, the way you feel about it, enriching your life and giving you a sense of pride and satisfaction. Here’s how we do it.
Step 1 – Meet onsite
We meet at your home and discuss your existing garden, if any. We’ll have a chat about what you want from your garden, how you live, who lives with you and how you enjoy the exterior of your home. Ian will examine the condition of your yard and garden and determine how it can be improved in terms of its health, how it meets your needs, whether there are any water concerns, and the quality of the soil, any irrigation issues and anything else that tells him about the starting point.
Step 2 – Conceptualise
Ian will take all he’s learned and go away to prepare a Concept Plan for your garden. He’ll incorporate the items from your ‘garden wish list’ and create drawings and recommendations to suit what is possible, given what currently exists and how it can be improved, changed or newly established. Ian will include photos of plants he recommends, draw up diagrams so you can visualise the end result and he may even request to meet with you at the garden centre to run through some plant options.
Step 3 – Delivery
This is the really exciting phase! You’ll receive your Concept Plan outlining all of Ian’s recommendations including a list of plants and how to do the work yourselves. This is incredibly rewarding for clients who find they enjoy spending time in the garden and being a part of its establishment and ongoing care. Watching your garden come alive, change through the seasons and thrive because it’s been done properly is one of life’s great pleasures. Of course, if you prefer, you can outsource the task to contractors such as fencers, concreters, carpenters and hard landscapers. We can provide some trusted referrals for you.
Step 4 – Soft landscaping (optional)
ING’s Garden Consultants can carry out the soft landscaping for you and Ian can provide you with a quote at any stage. All your plants can be either purchased and planted for you or you can purchase them yourself and plant them, whichever best suits your requirements.
